1. From a web-connected
computer, point your browser to Mariner
(http://libraries.maine.edu/mariner/)
2. Select Indexes and Databases (upper right)
3. Select H-M option for alphabetized databases (bottom
of screen)
4. Scroll down to and select MLA International Bibliography
5. The default field will be subject guide. Enter the name
of the poet you are interested in searching.
6. View records returned, marking those titles that seem of potential
interest.
7. Vary your search parameters and terms until you receive interesting
results.
8. Narrow records down to five journal articles, book chapters, or essays
in edited volumes.
9. Search library collection for all five items (to determine availability).
10. Return to MLA Bibliography if items are not available.
11. Locate and check out or photocopy three items. Bring to class on
Tuesay before Thanksgiving.
